Welcome to Cordillera

Cordillera | Luxury Amenities, Alpine Recreation, Natural Beauty

Spanning 7,000 acres and bordered by over a million acres of White River National Forest, Cordillera comprises four exclusive gated communities, each offering a distinct mountain lifestyle.

Three—The Divide, The Ranch, and The Summit—lie south of I-70 along scenic Squaw Creek Road, while The Valley Club sits north of the interstate near Vail Valley Medical Center

The Divide

Situated at 8,000 feet, The Divide showcases European-inspired homes that combine classic elegance with refined alpine style.

The Ranch

Originally a working ranch, The Ranch celebrates the spirit of the American West, with homes crafted from log, stone, and timber that harmonize with the natural landscape. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy 21 miles of hiking and winter trails, a dedicated Nordic ski track, and the Hale Irwin-designed Mountain Course—an 18-hole course that follows the terrain’s natural contours with challenging, narrow fairways.

The community’s centerpiece, The Trailhead at Cordillera, is a two-story log lodge and social hub hosting Cordillera Day Camp (Cordy Camp). Amenities include an outdoor pool with water slide, playground, teepees, and refined dining at Timber Hearth Grille, offering a perfect blend of recreation, luxury, and western charm.

The Summit

Perched at 9,000 feet, The Summit offers panoramic vistas of the Gore and Sawatch Mountains, New York Mountain, and the Flat Tops. Anchored by the Jack Nicklaus-designed Summit Golf Course, the 18-hole layout winds through sage, aspen, and spruce, while the clubhouse and Summit Restaurant provide an elegant setting for après-golf and social gatherings.

The Valley Club

Situated on the sunlit north side of I-70, The Valley Club blends Western and mountain-modern architecture. The Tom Fazio-designed Valley Course maximizes the high-desert terrain, offering an extended season, while the clubhouse features a fitness center, outdoor pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and Chaparral Restaurant.

Equestrian & Outdoor Lifestyle

Beyond championship golf, Cordillera offers an equestrian center with boarding for 48 horses, while Bearcat Stables on the historic Bearden Homestead hosts winter sleigh rides and summer backcountry rides. Anglers enjoy private access to 1.3 miles of the Eagle River and five stocked trout ponds.

Blending privacy, recreation, and refined amenities, Cordillera stands as one of the Vail Valley’s most coveted mountain communities.
